Projects

We at the Rotary Club of Cochin City have been in the forefront of social activity since our inception in 2006. Our focus areas were supporting physically challenged critically ill and old people through various projects. We have also been conducting personality development camps in schools and other educational Institutions.

In addition to the ongoing projects, we have initiated the following projects for the Rotary year 2011-2012,

Support for Prisoners Children

It is a matching grant project in partnership with the Rotary Club of Corning, USA. The objective of the project is to provide educational support to children of prisoner’s and ex-convicts by admitting them to the proper educational institutions, providing them books and educational materials, paying their fees. The health of these children is improved by timely medical interventions. Giving career guidance and vocational trainings helps them in finding employment. The implementation partner for the project is Prison Gospel Mission who has been working with Prisoners and Ex-Convicts for the last 15 year to reform and rehabilitate them.

Carols n' Carnival

Carols n' Carnival is our major fund raising program. Held on the second Saturday of December every year, Carols n' Carnival welcomes the Christmas Spirit to the city of Cochin. It is fellowship event for Rotary Fraternity in the Cochin Regions. Visit www.carolsncarnival.com for details.
